01 Introduction & Site Identity
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") governs the collection, management, and protection of data within the Nepse Bajar Election Analytics Platform ("Platform"). We operate as an independent digital information and analytics provider, dedicated to enhancing the transparency of the electoral process in Nepal through data science and investigative journalism.
By accessing our Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms of this Policy. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of digital privacy and data protection, ensuring that our operations are consistent with both national regulations (Nepal) and international best practices for high-concurrency data platforms.
02 Data Collection Framework
A. Public Interest Data
Our core functionality involves identifying and processing Public Record Data. This includes:
- • Official Election Commission (ECN) Results
- • National Statistics Office (Census) Data
- • Leading Media
- • Wikipedia & Public Historical Archives
- • Verified Candidate Records & Gazettes
B. Advertising & Third-Party Cookies
To sustain our independent analytics infrastructure, we utilize third-party advertising partners. These partners may:
- • Use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to our site.
- • Collect non-identifying technical metadata (Browser type, OS).
- • Analyze traffic patterns to optimize delivery of relevant ads.
03 Technical Interaction Data
To ensure platform stability during periods of extreme system load (live election updates), we collect non-identifying logs: IP addresses (anonymized), server performance metrics, and concurrency data. This is used solely for system optimization and security auditing.
07 Data Accuracy & Latency Disclaimer
Nepse Bajar provides information on an "as-is" basis. While we strive for the highest degree of accuracy, the platform is subject to the following technical and analytical constraints:
A. Analytical Latency
During active election updates, the platform fetches live results from official sources. However, to handle massive system pressure, **complex analytics (such as total party votes, province-wide summaries, and the Viability Index) may not recalculate in real-time with every single vote update.** These are processed asynchronously, which may cause temporary divergences between individual candidate counts and aggregated analytical reports.
B. Viability Index Disclaimer
The **Viability Index** is a proprietary analytical measurement tool based on historical voting patterns and current indicators. It is **NOT** a prediction of election results, a forecast of outcomes, or an official projection. It is provided for educational and comparative analysis purposes only.
C. Third-Party Source Accuracy
We rely on data provided by the Election Commission of Nepal and other constitutional bodies. We do not guarantee that such third-party data is 100% accurate, complete, or current at all times, especially during live counting phases subject to revisions or recounts.
